Birk mules along with other brands, even like Gap and Born, are timeless. The key for a more masculine look is for them to be round and bigger at the toe. I have mules in suede, regular leather, canvas, EVA, and even corduroy.
I wear socks with sandals when I have a bad blister. I know it’s not kewl, but it keeps your foot dry and heals it faster. I do a lot of walking and my feet swell sometimes, causing blisters. Too bad it’s not fashionable because it’s so comfortable.
Still I like sandals with socks, sorry. And I don’t care what the snobs and fashion guru says 😅
Thoughts on nicer looking leather flip-flops (thongs) with linen pants for a slightly lifted summer style? I grew up in Australia where thongs are practically the go-to footwear for summer. But I did feel a bit out of place with trying to up-style my rubber Havaianas a tad for a casual dinner with my partner in Cartagena (Colombia). Tried them with my linen pants, and while they’d have been fine for strolling around the old city there, I felt they were a little out of place in a restaurant… So thinking to pickup a leather pair hoping they may style better. 🤔
